About Bureau Fomo

@bureaufomo (@hanna.gassner + @wimmrue = BF) is a transdisciplinary curatorial duo, based in Vienna and founded by Hanna Gassner and Christoph Wimmer-Ruelland. Working in art direction, management, design research and cultural production, Bureau Fomo creates spaces, exhibitions and living experiences that blend objects with narratives, atmospheres and social encounters. The work is driven by the belief that space is more than a physical location—it is an experience, a meeting point, a memory and a connection. By linking design, art and craft, Bureau Fomo fosters connections between people, materials, and their environments, always with an awareness of ecological, social, material, and cultural contexts.

Meeting people, sharing ideas, building bridges and creating common ground — Bureau Fomo creates spaces that create more space, environments where reality and imagination merge and where time, place and experience intertwine. It is in these spaces that they invite the public to not only observe, but to connect, participate and shape new cultural narratives together.

Bureau Fomo continuously questions the frameworks and formats:
How can art and culture remain open and accessible in a shared future? How can new approaches challenge conventions and traditions and inspire critical discourse? How can a society be shaped into a community working towards common goals?

Working transdisciplinarily, hybrid, and flexible, Bureau Fomo curates, connects, and promotes a new generation of contemporary artists and designers.

They present innovative cultural formats that combine exhibitions, workshops, collectible art and design, events, dinners, wine and discussions. They foster interdisciplinary exchange and cultural dialogue that extends beyond the art + design world. They represent and collaborate with a network of international artists and designers, supporting them in sales, mediation, exhibitions, and management.
